Job Title: Data Management /Application Support Specialist (Landmark Software)
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Rate: £300-350 per day + £50 Sustenance allowance per day (7 days) + Full accommodation (Paid)
Job Type: Contract (6 months)
Role
Excellent opportunity for a data manager to work for an international exploration and production Company. This is a staff position and will be based in our client’s office in Copenhagen.
Key responsibilities:
• Preparation of seismic and well data for input to seismic workstation projects, including extraction and manipulation of data from company's databases and external sources
• Administration of data in collaboration with users, data managers, and system administrators
• Contact with external data vendors
• Refinement and development of techniques and procedures for efficient handling of data all through the data cycle
• Ad hoc unix script programming
• Ensuring compliance with policies and that jobs are completed in a cost effective way
Key requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in geology/geophysics
• Experience of data loading and administration of seismic workstation data is preferred
• Proven experience in the landmark openworks software suite software products
• Proven knowledge of unix operating system and associated network protocols and unix shell programming languages
• Working knowledge of windows systems
