PEDAL POWER RAISING POUNDS FOR PUDSEY - 12/11/2008

Directors and Consultants from IntaPeople will be trading their suits and ties for shorts and trainers to raise money for this year’s Children in Need appeal. IntaPeople staff – Wales’ leading independent recruitment consultancy - will be taking part in a 240 km/10 hour cycle-thon outside the Mercure Holland House Hotel - Cardiff on Thursday 13th November, starting at 8am and finishing at 6pm.

The Cardiff based agency were finalists in this years’ FastGrowth50 awards, that recognises the fastest growing companies in the country out of a business population of over 200,000. This is the second time that IntaPeople have been shortlisted for the award – the last time they were nominated was in 2000, when they won.

The fundraising event has been organised by Amanda Tilley, IntaPeople’s Finance Manager. She said:

“As a company we raise money each year for a number of charities including Jeans for Genes, Red Nose Day and Wear it Pink. This year we wanted to beat our previous record by raising the most amount of money for Children in Need. For this reason we have decided to do something a little different.

We have set a challenge for 10 of our staff to complete the 240 km on a cycling machine outside the Mecure Holland House hotel. This is the equivalent distance as from our office in Central Cardiff to the BBC Television centre in Central London, from which the Children in Need appeal is broadcast.”

Phil Handley, joint managing director of IntaPeople, will be the first person to take to the saddle for what promises to be a hugely successful event raising money for Children in Need.

We are looking to raise £500 for Children in Need and have set up a fund raising page (www.justgiving.com/intapeople) for sponsors to donate to. All donations, no matter how large or small are truly welcome!!

IntaPeople pour staff into Water project - 24/09/2008

IntaPeople, Wales' leading IT, Technical and Engineering recruitment consultancy have recently completed their task of supplying 35 Property Surveyors, Supervisors and Leakage Technicians to one of the UK's leading utility (water) companies. Lance Channon, Head of IntaPeople's Energy & Environment sector said "With a global focus on the reduction of wastage within the energy sector we were tasked with supplying a number of staff with recent experience of the water sector. By plugging the gaps within the utility companies paying customer database and within the infrastructure used to supply water to homes and businesses throughout Kent and South East region of England it is thought that millions of gallons of previously 'lost' drinking water will now be saved or accounted for, thus reducing the wastage within the supplying company, which will hopefully lead to a reduction in price for the end consumer".
